We always need people to help us test the latest micro:bit software and learning resources. If you enjoy identifying errors and suggesting improvements on current features, this is an excellent way to get involved with the Foundation.

Our entire community is truly valuable to us, and we want to release the best software that meets everyone's needs. You have the power to influence and improve the features that work well for you and those that don't. You will help validate and identify issues with current user cases, and you may also provide us with insights into user cases we hadn't considered before.

Previous beta testing has involved the micro:bit Python editor, Classroom editor, iOS app for micro:bit, and Android app for micro:bit.

MakeCode performs an annual upgrade between June and August, and you can help shape the code base by taking part in Beta testing.

If you're as excited as we are and interested in taking part in some real-world beta testing, please visit https://microbit.org/testing/

Please note that the Beta testing programme is only open to individuals aged 13 and above. Everyone is welcome to test the software, but we can only formally accept feedback from participants above that age range.
